# How Credicorp lends & regulation — the one-screen version

## The headline

Because the borrower is always a company, never a person, these agreements are not regulated consumer credit. Under [Article 60B of the FSMA Regulated Activities Order 2001](https://creditcorpgroup.co.uk/lending-and-regulation/), lending to a body corporate is not a regulated "credit agreement". So:

- FCA authorisation is not required for this kind of lending.
- The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) does not apply to it.
- The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) does not apply to it.

In practice these products are not for sole traders or for anyone borrowing in their own name.
